If you could live anywhere in the world for six months, where would it be and why?
If I could live anywhere in the world for six months, it would be in the south of Europe, moving around between places like Portugal and Spain. I love the mix of coastal lifestyle, beautiful cities, and a relaxed pace of life. There’s also amazing food and wine, great coffee, and plenty of opportunities to explore both beaches and nature. It also feels like a good base in Europe, making it easier to visit family while still being somewhere new and inspiring.
What’s your favourite part of working in the short-term rental industry?
Not one day is the same! There’s always something different happening or requiring attention. I’m enjoying the diversity of the role and the variety it brings, as it keeps things interesting and constantly evolving. It’s this fast-paced environment that keeps me engaged, motivated, and excited about the work.
What’s one tip you’d give to someone looking to list their property as a short-term rental?
Make sure you create a space where guests actually want to spend time. Keep it homey and cosy, but don’t overdo the styling. Having a standout feature can make a real difference. And most importantly, know your market whether you’re targeting families or business travellers and design the space around that.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to explore Sydney and the surrounding areas, go for hikes, and find new and interesting places along the way. I love coffee, especially specialty coffee, and I’m always on the lookout for great new coffee shops, preferably with a nice pastry to go with it. I also enjoy going out for a nice dinner with a good glass of wine, or having a cosy night at home with a homemade cheese platter.
